Role Overview:

As a Purchase Ledger & Payroll Clerk, you will report to the Finance Officer and provide essential financial administration support to ensure the smooth operation of our back-office functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll:

• Prepare and run weekly and monthly payroll, including deductions and NEST pension administration.
• Enter hours from timesheets and manage Sage payroll, processing payments via BACS.
• Maintain accurate holiday entitlement records and handle all year-end payroll routines.
• Submit necessary information to HMRC.
• Maintain and update employee records, manage starters, leavers, and pay changes.
• Address payroll queries promptly and effectively.

Purchase Ledger:

• Distribute invoices for authorization and ensure timely return.
• Enter invoice details into Sage Line 50 purchase ledger.
• Prepare payment runs and process payments via BACS or cheque.
• Resolve purchase ledger queries efficiently.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
