Excellent opportunity for an Embedded Firmware Engineer with experience of C, C++, and RTOS to join a world-leading organisation offering ownership and autonomy over your projects, technically fascinating product-based work, and the opportunity to take R&D projects from cradle to grave!

This company designs and builds highly complex instruments designed to assist with everything from energy production forecast through to mapping the changes to the worlds crust over time. With over 50 years in business, their products are globally renowned as best in class!

In this role you will join a 4-person team working on Embedded Firmware design and engineering within a larger R&D department. You'll predominantly with: Embedded C and C++, 8 through 32 bit microcontrollers, Python (Scripting), and RTOS. Due to the hardware focus of this position it will be office-based 5 days a week.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated, or equivalent/time served, in either Electronics or Computer Science, have experience as an Embedded Firmware Engineer, and be confident with C and C++. Candidates must have experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and be able to read electronic schematics. Candidates must be commutable to, or willing to relocate to a commutable radius of, Totnes.
