Role: Outreach Mentor

Salary: £24,420 - £26,440
A fantastic special educational needs provision we support is seeking to appointment three dedicated, passionate and empathetic outreach mentors to join their close-knit team. Our service provides high quality, individualised and small group learning for up to 50 students aged 11 - 19.
About the school:
The school is part of a network founded by experienced SEN teachers, with several independent schools and alternative provisions nationwide. It offers tailored support to students facing complex social, emotional and behavioural challenges. With a diverse curriculum that integrates academic and vocational pathways, the service provides excellent facilities, including food technology labs, motor and construction workshops and a sports hall.
About the role:

Deliver tailored educational support to students with additional needs, ensuring they can fully engage with their learning journey

Work 1:1 or with small groups to promote academic progress and personal development

Travel to outreach centres and homes to deliver education in a variety of settings, ensuring flexibility and adaptability

Foster emotional wellbeing and equip students with essential life skills

Collaborate with teachers, support staff and families to create a holistic approach to student development
About you:

Must have a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young people

Able to remain calm, empathetic and professional, particularly when managing challenging behaviour

Previous experience working with students with additional needs is highly desirable

Must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle (minimum of 2 years driving experience) and have business insurance

Strong communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate

Adaptable, flexible and with a good sense of humour
Working hours: 8:45am - 4:45pm, Monday to Friday, term time only
