Purpose of the role:

As Lunaz grows, we are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team. The purpose of the role is to maintain a high quality and professional purchase and sales ledger function to ensure robust, compliant and efficient financial processes operate across Lunaz.

We are looking for an individual who has experience of delivering accurate and on-time information in a manufacturing environment. Lunaz is committed to nurturing and promoting talent internally. Your role accountabilities:

  • Processing inbound invoices onto the accounting system, appropriately matching these to Purchase Orders
  • Creating and sending sales invoices to customers
  • Processing expense claims from employees, ensuring claims are in line with company policies
  • Completing payment reconciliations to ensure an up-to-date general ledger
  • Partnering with purchasing teams to assist with payment processing
  • Setting-up supplier payments on online banking systems
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Month end journal calculations and postings on the ledger
  • Other ad-hoc duties to support a small finance team at a growing company

Skills & Experience

(Essential)

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient using accounting packages (Xero desirable but not essential)
  • Expert in use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Analytical mindset and an eye for detail, capable of working quickly to a high standard of accuracy
  • Uses problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritising own work and the work of the team in an organised and accurate manner within tight deadlines, keeping calm and focussed
  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
  • A fast-learner, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for sustainable business

Qualifications

(Essential)

  • 5 GCSEs at grade A* to C or equivalent including Maths and English
  • Part-qualified or fully-qualified AAT, study support to be provided if required. Alternatively, applicants who are QBE will also be considered
