Quality Engineer / Quality Control Engineer / Quality management Engineer to join an engineering business based in Towcester, Northamptonshire.


The Quality Engineer / Quality Control Engineer / Quality Management Engineer will establish and, maintain quality systems and supporting the manufacturing department via creating, implementing, actioning resolutions from manufacturing / quality issues.


The successful Quality Engineer / Quality Control Engineer / Quality Management Engineer will ideally have experience working in a similar role within an engineering/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish, maintain, and audit systems in line with ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, and ISO45001 standards bi-annually.
  • Collaborate with line managers to create action plans following internal audits and ensure compliance.
  • Support the Quality Returns department and act as the primary point of contact for customer visits.
  • Prepare FAI/PPAP documentation as required.
  • Using problem solving and investigation tools such as 8D, CAPA, 5-Whys, FMEA.
  • Lead quality control within the production department, including containment, investigation, correction, and validation of corrective actions via 8D reporting.
  • Analyse internal scrap review data and apply reduction methodologies.
  • Conduct quality spot-checks within the production department.
  • Participate in any additional training or education identified by the company for career development.
  • Monday- Thursday: 8am-4pm & Friday: 8am- 1pm
  • Site based in Towcester, Northamptonshire


Requirements:
  • Experience as a quality engineer, quality assurance engineer, quality control engineer, quality systems engineer, compliance engineer, or similar quality engineering role
  • Degree or HNC / HND qualified in a engineering field or similar.
  • Experience in conducting supplier audits
  • Familiar with problem-solving methodologies (8D, CAPA, 5-Whys, FMEA).
  • Commutable to site in Towcester, Northamptonshire
