Opus People Solutions are looking for a Registered Children's Home Manager in Towcester.

You will be responsible for managing a 5-bed EBD children's residential home, playing a crucial role in its daily operations, and ensuring that each child receives the highest quality care and support.

We welcome applications from those who have strong supervisory experience within residential childcare, ie. Deputy Managers, Team Leaders looking for a step up in their career. Our client will support you with your development and progression, with fully funded qualifications and clear career pathways.

What's on offer?

  • Competitive salary of up to around £55,000 - negotiable depending on experience.
  • Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Responsibilities include:

  • Regularly review and update care plans for each young person and assign Key Workers to implement these care plans.
  • Uphold high care standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
  • Develop quality assurance measures and seek young people's feedback.
  • Work with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure young people's welfare.
  • Participate in child care planning and review meetings.
  • Recruit, induct, and supervise staff, providing development plans and fostering communication.
  • Manage budgets

To be considered, you will have:

  • Understanding of BESD children and managing challenging behavior
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • Commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children
  • Effective planning, organizing, and resource allocation skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with children in the past 5 years which should include at least 1 year in a supervisory/senior position in residential care.
  • Ability to motivate and support staff
  • NVQ 4 in Caring for Children & Young People (or equivalent) or working towards.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in children's residential care
