Are you a Geotechnical Engineer looking for a varied role which provides a variety of exciting projects, pay and role progression opportunities as well as a generous remuneration package?

This company have been constantly growing for nearly two decades, providing ground investigation services that leads to practical advice on contaminated land, sustainable drainage solutions, soil parameters for basement and infrastructure design and economic and environmentally sustainable remediation solutions.

This role will see the successful candidate complete a wide variety of tasks, taking on ground investigation projects to support a range of clients. The appropriate individual will display a flare for report writing, providing accurate assessments and recommendations for clients on the completion of all projects. In addition, a comprehensive understanding of current UK regulations will be essential, enabling accurate work and a source of guidance for graduate and junior engineers within teams.

The Role:

  • Manage a variety of projects from inception to completion
  • Manage financial budgets for projects
  • Undertake fieldwork and supervision of site contractors
  • Preparation of desk study reports, interpretative geotechnical and geoenvironmental reports and waste classification assessments to current UK standards
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of ground conditions and provide recommendations covering foundation design, ground improvements, earthworks, basements, retaining wall, mining, dissolution, and slope stability assessment
  • Complete Geotechnical report writing to provide assessments of projects, to provide the best possible advice

The Person:

  • Proven experience within ground investigation
  • A full UK driver's license
  • A valid CSCS card would be advantageous
  • Conversant with GEO5 design software and geophysical surveys
