Our client is a global automated materials handling provider at the forefront of innovative logistics solutions. They are currently seeking a talented Junior Project Engineer to join their growing team.
Role Overview
As a Junior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of customer proposals from initial concept through to final presentation. You'll work alongside experienced professionals to develop integrated solutions incorporating standard, non-standard, and third-party products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Contract Strategy
- Participate in quotation processes and delivery milestone planning
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders during solution development
- Contribute to the generation of ideas, concepts, and schemes
- Develop designs within defined project scope and technical specifications
- Take ownership of sub-elements of the design process
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD proposal drawings
- Prepare site plans, elevations, and cross sections
- Develop supplier relationships to enhance design development
- Support application engineering team in costing proposals
Requirements
Essential
- Engineering degree (2:1 or higher preferred)
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective time management and planning abilities
- Team player with self-motivation
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
