A fantastic opportunity to work with our prestigious client supporting some of the UK's biggest brands! We are looking for a Duty Event Manager for a fixed term contract starting immediately until at least July 2025.

A role to ensure the effective and efficient management of all on-site small to medium events in accordance with the client's brief, company policies and procedures, and within agreed budget and profit margins. Assist the Senior Event Managers and Events Team Leader in procedures and site wide policies ensuring they are kept up to date with current practice and standards.

This full-time onsite position is based in Silverstone requiring 5 days of work over a 7-day period. Due to the remote location will you your own transport.

Core working hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm with the exemption of flexibility to work additional hours during peak season. Time in lieu will be offered for any overtime worked.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the central liaison point for the client on all medium sized events, managing the customer accounts and ensuring that the customer and the company remain within the brief and on budget whilst continually developing relationships.
  • To liaise and assist with internal and external suppliers depending on event and client's requirements and be the main point of contact, controlling budget spent with suppliers and ensuring the correct documentation is filed and signed off.
  • Give operational direction to the staff working in the catering areas, ensuring that there is sufficient staff cover at all the times.
  • Reporting of all event financials to the corporate events team leader monthly. Conduct post event reconciliation, review and all feedback are acted upon to affect positive change with agreed action plans.
  • Attend weekly planning meetings and event briefings as required.

About you:

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the events industry, preferably within a venue or contract catering setting.
  • An excellent track record of success in managing events from conception to execution, with a focus on exceeding client expectations and delivering exceptional service.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive problem-solver with the ability to think on their feet and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring all events run smoothly and efficiently.

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Event Managers or long-term Event Coordinators within a venue setting, who possess a deep understanding of venue operations or freelancers who are looking for a long term opportunity.
