Finance Manager, Bespoke Print Manufacturing - West London
High profile boutique designer / manufacturer of bespoke printed textiles and wallcoverings for major Brands and high profile commissions for palaces, embassies, private houses and hotels, seeks a qualified, dynamic & skilled Finance Manager / Management Accountant to take responsibility for implementing and managing a robust & effective financial structure, whilst also working with IT & their Production team in developing a much more effective insight into their efficiencies & profitability.
With the flexibility to produce bespoke limited editions as well as high volume production, they offer a range of services spanning Studio, Screen making, Fabric preparation/finishing/storage, Hand and Machine Screen Printing and Large Format Digital Printing.
The main responsibilities of the Finance Manager role include all aspects of day to day leadership of a small Finance team, encompassing financial accounting & reporting, forecasting & budgeting, long range plans, managing cashflow, cost management and providing support and analysis to the business.
Working directly alongside the Managing Director, you be highly commercial in your approach and you MUST have developed your professional experience within a diverse Manufacturing operation, ideally with some Print / Packaging Production environment exposure and a proprietary Print Industry MIS.
As the Finance Manager / Management Accountant, you must be professionally accountancy qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) and possess demonstrably progressive experience in a Finance role, encompassing wide ranging financial accounting responsibilities and staff management. It is imperative that you have strong experience/capability to development their accounting systems and the influencing ability to drive their business strategy forward.
An expert with data manipulation (advanced MS Excel a prerequisite), visualising tables to extract information, you will be accustomed to using open database connectivity, minimising mechanical reporting & utilising Crystal report writing.
Main Responsibilities;
- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations including all financial ledgers, accounts receivable and payable, bank & cash, cost accounting, inventory accounting, VAT processing and returns.
- Prepare monthly management accounts including balance sheet and cash reconciliation for Board of Directors as well as KPI reporting where appropriate.
- Establish and manage all financial reporting internally and externally in line with regulatory requirements and Director's requirements.
- Monthly employee payroll and Company pension scheme administration.
- Experience with Import / Export documentation & processes would also be valuable.
Building & leading a small Finance team including Purchase Ledger, Credit Control & Import/Export, it is imperative that you possess excellent interpersonal skills, alongside a dynamic & self motivated approach, strong organisational skills and the ability to work within an entrepreneurially robust & fluid environment, pre-empting new challenges and rationalising their solutions.
