Head of Production, Screenprint - West London

High profile boutique designer / manufacturer of bespoke printed textiles and wallcoverings for major Brands and high profile commissions for palaces, embassies, private houses and hotels, seeks a skilled & experience Production Manager to shape & drive their highly invested & diverse Screen & Digital print manufacturing operation.

With the flexibility to produce bespoke limited editions as well as high volume production, they offer a range of services spanning Studio, Screen making, Fabric preparation/finishing/storage, Hand and Machine Screen Printing and Large Format Digital Printing.

Bringing a combination of practical Print Production experiencealongside genuine people & leadership skills, as part of the Business leadership team, you will take responsibility for a skilled & committed team of circa 25 production personnel, in the efficiency, capability & day to day management of their diverse Screenprint production offering, alongside driving their evolution and onward investment plans.

Job purpose

  • Overall responsibility for the Screenprint production team, including staff, budgets and all operational aspects of the production environment.
  • Establishing and maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency and health & safety across the entire production process.
  • Setting goals for growth and budget allocation for planned development
  • Contribute to the Leadership team and overall management of the business

Qualifications and experience

  • Proven experience as a Production or Operations Manager, ideally within a bespoke Screenprint or digital print manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in planning, budgeting, business process and functions (including finance, HR, procurement, operations).
  • Demonstrable experience of leadership & implementational responsibility for Health & Safety, within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, combined with outstanding organisational and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical ability & problem-solving aptitude.

Your driven and engaging personality will be key in connecting with Clients and the internal Business functions, utilising your acquired Production experience, intellect and excellent communication skills, to interpret the demands of Clients effectively, and oversee the processes through to completion via the Studio, Commercial and Production teams.

You will need to reside within a sensible proximity of their West London operation, as this is a genuine production leadership responsibility, offering a strong salary (in line with experience) and an exciting opportunity for a driven and aspirational individual with an acquired knowledge of print and production (ideally in the Screenprint arena), to work closely with Managing Director in ensuring Client projects are serviced to the highest standards, whilst evolving your responsibility and influence as part of increasing the market position and growth of this impressive business.
