Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Civil Engineering Main Contractor with an annual turnover of £150 million, is looking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer to join their civil engineering team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in East Lothian.
Role Overview:
As a Site Engineer, you will work closely with the management team to coordinate daily site operations, ensuring all work complies with Health and Safety regulations. A key aspect of the role involves setting out and surveying across a variety of civil infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out for construction works
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely and in full compliance with Health and Safety regulations
- Coordinating, managing, and monitoring site staff and subcontractors
- Administering and maintaining Quality Assurance records on-site
- Checking plans, drawings, and quantities to ensure accuracy
- Supporting the Project Manager and Site Agent, while carrying out additional site engineering duties as required
- Liaising with management and the client to ensure smooth project delivery
Essential Requirements:
- Degree or HNC qualification in a relevant civil engineering discipline
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer with a civil engineering contractor
- Experience working on Scottish Power projects (desirable)
- Proven expertise in setting out for groundworks and infrastructure projects
- A valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
