Production Manager

Reed Recruitment is currently seeking a highly experienced Production Manager on behalf of our esteemed client. This role is pivotal in supporting the General Manager by directing and managing all plant operations, including production, logistics, maintenance, and safety, among other responsibilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Safety Management: Promote a culture of safety among team members, ensuring the safe use of equipment and supporting the manufacturing facility’s safety processes.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor site operating metrics closely and implement actions to achieve the facility’s goals. Develop operational capabilities to support growth, leveraging both technology and personnel.
- Customer and Culture Focus: Build strong customer relationships and reinforce a customer-centered culture. Manage service delivery to customers and support sales strategies.
- Capacity Management: Manage operational capacity to meet fluctuating demands and support facility growth, ensuring profitability.
- Technical and Quality Assurance: Continuously enhance technical knowledge and optimize production processes to meet and exceed quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Build a high-performing team through effective selection, training, and development. Ensure team members are aligned with facility objectives and corporate values.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in production or manufacturing management, including staff management, training, and handling absences.
- Excellent man-management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong technical knowledge of production processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning new business information systems.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of making effective presentations and persuasively discussing complex topics.
- Relevant qualifications in production management or related fields.
