Maintenance Technician

On-call rota requirement, one week in three

SRG are working with a leading FMCG Manufacturing organisation who are looking for a Maintenance Electrician / Technician to join the team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the maintenance technician will ensure the required levels of production are achieved at their site by maintaining plant and equipment to the required standards and dealing with breakdowns effectively and efficiently. Provide call out cover for out of hours breakdowns, on a rota-based system.

  • Environmental Procedures
  • Zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy
  • Personal Protective clothing policy

Requirements/ Skills:

  • Practical experience in an industrial scale production environment
  • Electricity at Work regulations and H&S legislation
  • Electrical Testing
  • Electrical fault finding
  • Electrical fault finding without wiring diagrams
  • Electrical installation & inspection
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude
  • Willing to learn/train in various areas relating to the position such as
    Welding, MIG, TIG, Arc, Metal work and Fabrication
