Join our client's Quality team in Tredegar as a Quality Engineer. This role is crucial for implementing continual improvement programmes throughout their manufacturing operations and ensuring the effectiveness of their Quality Management Systems.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Perform various audits as part of a team according to pre-declared schedules.
  • Train, develop, and support the workforce to enhance their understanding of the company’s quality requirements.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in resolving customer concerns and in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as SMED and PPM reductions.
  • Investigate concerns, assist in preventing repeat issues, and ensure the correct quality tools are available to meet customer and plant expectations.
  • Manage customer concerns, coordinate the process of corrective actions, and ensure compliance in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and analyse production data to increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Maintain required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support calibration requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good understanding of ISO9001:2015 and TS16949:2016.
  • Proficiency in PFMEA, Control Plans, 5S, and Lean Philosophy.
  • Ideally conversant with CMM or trained in PcDmis.
  • Preferably trained as a TS16949 internal auditor.
