Our client are an international manufacturer who provide parts across the plumbing industry. They are seeking a Team Leader for an injection moulding section in central Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities – Team Leader

• Ensure departments adherence to Health and Safety requirements.
• Maintain and enhance departmental housekeeping standards.
• Execution of production plan to meet efficiency targets.
• Ensure production quality is maintained to required standards.
• Participate in efficiency improvement programmes.
• Abide by and ensure departments compliance with Companies policies and procedures.
• Understand department members individual needs and requirements and maximise moral, motivation within the shift and across shifts to maintain departmental relationships.
• To attend and present DSUM’s and ensure excellent communication across all shifts through DSR, email etc.
• Daily cross departmental (tool room, quality, planning, engineering, maintenance, assembly, etc) liaison.
• Be fully skilled in all areas and activities within the manufacturing areas on the Moulding department.
• Undertake production activities within the Moulding department when resourcing requires.
• Inspection and measurement as procedures dictate.
• Identify skills gaps within department’s members.
• Demonstrate a duty of care to all colleagues, visitors, contractors or anyone else on site.
• Conduct and report on Process Audits.
• Carry out any reasonable management requests.

Qualification/Experience – Team Leader

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent injection moulding processing skills
• Junior management experience
• ERM system experience desirable
