Logistics Shift Manager

As a Logistics Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of despatch departments, ensuring colleagues are operating effectively, efficiently and safely at all times.

The role does require to work a weekly rotational shift pattern of Tuesday to Saturday 10:00-19:00 and Monday to Friday 22:00-07:00

If you were already in this Logistics Shift Manager role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in this week:

• Being responsible for the management and development of Team Leaders and colleagues, including drivers within the logistics team
• Ensuring all food safety, health & safety and quality standards are met during the despatch process
• Supporting the Transport team to ensure compliance to Road Haulage Legislation
• Monitoring and delivering on inbound and outbound loading schedules for raw materials and finished products
• Working closely with the internal trainer ensuring MHE and Driver training, development and assessments are identified and completed.

• An experienced People Manager or Team Leader who has managed teams in a similar busy FMCG and Transport environment
• Good IT skills with the ability to learn new systems
• Knowledge of Road Haulage Legislation, having experience in Managing a Transport Team
• The ability to deal effectively with challenging situations
• If you have a CPC qualification it would be advantageous.
