They work a 34 hour week over 4 days, mainly office based but with some flexible hours. They provide medical cover for the immediate family in addition to life assurance and a pension scheme.
This position will suit a Senior Electronic Design Engineer with a knack for innovation (they have won a number of awards) and over 10 years of experience. You will lead the design and development of cutting-edge electronic hardware and systems, taking them from concept to manufacturing.
It’s a varied role with elements of digital design, analogue, FPGA, high voltage power and systems level specification. You will work alongside 2 other electronics engineers, Physicists and Mechanical Engineers.
Senior Electronics Engineer essential skills:
- Extensive digital electronic design, including with FPGAs (Xilinx preferred)
- Skillful in PCB layout, preferably using Altium
- Solid knowledge of design for EMC – you keep electromagnetic chaos at bay.
- Solid analog electronic understanding
Senior Electronics Engineer useful skills:
- Basic knowledge of Optics – you see the light!
- Understanding of high voltage circuits – you're electrifying!
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision – you're a self-starter.
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings – you understand the nuts and bolts.
