We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a HR Systems Projects Partner on a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave at our thriving business consultancy, based in the heart of the beautiful market town of Tring, Hertfordshire.

Operating as a solution focused HR Professional Operations and Systems Projects Partner, we are seeking someone who can work transversely across the internal team in providing support to the HR Consultants, HR support team and our customers.

The role will support in the delivery of HR projects and initiatives, HRIS reporting and configuration and HR process management by applying sound HR IS and HR operations knowledge and project management practices. The person will interact with various cross-functional teams to in the delivery of internal company and customer functions for HR Projects and HRIS.

A project management qualification such as Lean Six Sigma or Prince would be desirable, but not necessarily mandatory for the role, as we would be willing to support training and funding for the right candidate to further their experience and skills.

The need to be able to have good solid HR operational and generalist experience, as well as practical knowledge and the ability to grow with a keen interest on HR systems is a given. We do require candidates to have a HR degree, CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Support the business and our customers in delivery of HR projects and initiatives.
  • Creation of reports for both company and customers from HR Systems to analyse HR metrics and devise appropriate guidance, action plans and solutions.
  • Using data effectively to challenge and influence company or customer trends and actions.
  • Supporting HR Consultants by being responsible for support tracking of their customers timelines, milestones and checklists that will lead to the successful and timely set up of the HR operations (HR procedures, policies, handbooks and HRIS set up).
  • Review and collect user feedback of HRIS systems/HR processes, lead HRIS requirement management and scheduling process.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to our customers line managers on best practice in dealing with HR matters if required and where necessary.
  • Supporting the HR Consultants in production of project plans for customers organisational change programmes, redundancy projects, TUPE, mergers, and acquisitions projects and support Consultants in meetings if required.
  • Opportunity to manage company ISO practices and processes for annual compliance audits and positively influence company practices to standardisation of working processes and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for system automation and optimization to positively influence better ways of working.
  • Lead on HR system changes required once knowledge obtained for company and customers.
  • Supporting across company and customers in required HR administrative duties various HR processes

What can you bring to the team:

  • Proven work experience in a HR team covering generalist HR activities.
  • Good working knowledge of HR systems and creation of reports with continuous improvement of HR processes.
  • Previous experience of working in a consultancy or professional services environment is desired.
  • Good understanding of how Human Resources contributes to the success of organisations.
  • CIPD qualification, Degree, or equivalent level of work experience.
  • Working knowledge of at least one HR System
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to a wide range of audiences
  • Logical and pragmatic approach to planning, problem solving and issue resolution with the ability to understand the 'big picture’ view and identify dependencies between activities.
  • Genuine team player and collaborative worker
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers at Director and Board level
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office products
  • Track record of demonstrating analytical mindset and good knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
