About the role:

As a HR/ER Advisor, you will be responsible for first line support for our wide ranging and valued customers on a variety of people related issues. You will be a working with a team of experienced HR Advisors and Consultants, along with a buzzing support team!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will provide first line support for our customers with employee relations matters, understanding and assessing their needs, offering sound and tailored advice and managing case work through to resolution.
  • Create bespoke letters and documentation for a broad and varied range of customers.
  • Manage employee relations casework including, but not limited to, disciplinary, grievance and performance and absence management.
  • Support customers with formal meetings including the review of meetings notes and advising line managers on process to determine outcome
  • Create bespoke policies, procedures, and people guidelines for a wide range of customers
  • Supporting our team of HR Consultants with customer relationship management - we offer a vast and flexible service to meet our customers’ needs and our team really does have the opportunity to get involved in everything!
  • Act as a coach for our Support Team to enrich their learning, sharing your knowledge and expertise to support their development

About you:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the role of ER or HR Advisor with a track record of successfully managing a wide variety of ER matters
  • A strong HR Generalist/Advisory background along with sound knowledge of UK employment law
  • Ideally Level 5 CIPD qualification, or working towards
  • Demonstrable experience of managing complex employee relations casework
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and the wider HR team
  • Experience in using an HR case management system (e.g. Workday, SAP)
  • Experience of Microsoft Office 365/Microsoft Teams
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work well as a team, or independently
  • The ability to communicate with gravitas to our customers and probe appropriately in order to provide sound, compliant and effective advice and pre-empt customer needs
  • A strong work ethic and above all, a focus on delivering an exceptional service to our existing and future customers!
