A fantastic opportunity has arisen for our well-established and vibrant client law firm based in Tring for someone to help run and develop their Private Client Dept.

Ideally the successful candidate will have at least 3-4 yrs pqe Private Client experience, enough to be able to work largely unsupervised. There will also be secretarial support at hand.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1.1 To manage all client work allocated and in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the firm’s Office Manual.

1.2 To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.

1.3 At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.

1.4 To ensure the confidentiality and security of all of the firm’s and client documentation and information.

1.5 To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording.

1.6 In close liaison with the bookkeeper, to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters.

1.7 To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.

1.8 To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.

1.9 To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.

1.10 To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff.

1.11 To take responsibility for and attend to self-development.

1.12 In conjunction with the firm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the Law Society/Institute of Legal Executives and to assist with in-house training as may be required.

1.13 In liaison with the Principal, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.

Salary: £Competitive dep on exp (pro rata)

Start Date: ASAP

Hours of Business - 9-5pm (Closed 1-2pm) for lunch. working 3 - 4 days a week/flexible on days.

Hybrid working: Available once candidate becomes an established member of the team.

Holidays: 22 days holiday (pro rata) (not inc bank hols) Closed over Christmas too.
