We are currently recruiting for an exciting Property Manager role for a local family run, well established estate agency in Tring, who deals with properties throughout Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Bedfordshire. They have gained an excellent reputation for selling and letting quality homes throughout the local areas, and they pride themselves on being experts within the Estate Agency industry. The Property Manager is a vital link with the Lettings team, essential to the continued success and growth of the portfolio, ensuring tenancies are sustained and properties maintained. The ideal candidate must have previous property management experience, ARLA qualified, or working towards, and a full understanding of all current legislation. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so speed and accuracy is key.You must hold a full UK licence, and access to your own car. Salary package and benefits for the role of Property Manager include:

  • Basic £30,000
  • OTE £40,000 DOE
  • Yearly bonus worth £500 - £2500
  • Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
  • Free parking locally
  • 21 days holiday plus rota'd bank holidays (day off in lieu of each bank holiday worked)
  • Holiday increase with year service

Key responsibilities for the role of the Property Manager include:

  • Responsible for a portfolio of 150 properties
  • Carry out pre-tenancy checks
  • Be a point of contact for ongoing client care
  • Liaise with customers and clients in a professional, polite and respectful manner
  • Handle daily enquiries via calls, emails and visits
  • Oversee any snagging issues at the beginning of the tenancy
  • Deal with day-to-day property maintenance issues and queries
  • Organise renewal of safety certificates and remedial works during the tenancy
  • Manage the end of tenancy, including the return of deposits
  • Deal with Tenancy Agreements and renewal paperwork
  • Comply with all current legislation affecting the business
  • Ensure all management systems are kept up to date and maintained

The skills and experience required for the role of Property Manager include:

  • Previous experience in Property Management
  • ARLA qualified, or working towards
  • Good IT skills, including Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
  • A good understanding of the lettings offer process and be confident in putting offers to clients
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • The ability to work in a busy environment as part of a team
  • Strong organisation skills and a meticulous attention to detail
  • Have a 'can-do' attitude and adopt a proactive approach
  • Happy to take the initiative, responsibility and ownership
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Hold a full UK driving licence with access to your own car
