Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sutton
Age Group: Students aged 5 to 11 years old
Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay: £85 to £90 PAYE

Role Overview:
Contribute to empowering students with special educational needs, aged 5-11, through tailored support and guidance. Help create a nurturing learning environment where every student thrives, as a SEN Teaching Assistant


Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering personalized learning plans for students with PDA.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement.
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and independence.
- Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with PDA, is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification in education or child development (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
