Job Title: Maintenance EngineerLocation: AyrshireAbout Us:Our client is a leading Timber Frame and Roof Truss manufacturer, serving a diverse client base, including private individuals and prominent national building and construction companies. As our business continues to grow, we are looking to strengthen our Maintenance team by adding a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer.Job Description:As a Maintenance Engineer, you will report directly to the General Manager and work within a small, multi-skilled maintenance team. Your primary responsibility will be to perform planned and reactive maintenance on the site's production equipment, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.Key Responsibilities:* Perform reactive and proactive maintenance on production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.* Complete routine maintenance schedules consistently and on time.* Install new equipment as required and provide input for its integration.* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the production equipment.* Actively participate in summer and winter overhauls to maintain and repair plant equipment.* Engage in continuous improvement activities and meetings to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.* Complete required work permits and ensure all tasks meet health and safety standards.* Build effective relationships with colleagues across levels to align with business objectives.* Support special projects and other tasks as assigned.Skills & Qualifications:* Time-served, multi-skilled maintenance professional with 18th Edition wiring regulations certification.* Proven experience in a production environment working shifts.* Knowledge of PLC's, Servo Drives, Robotics, and Line Automation is highly desirable.* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.* High attention to detail, strong concern for standards, and a results-oriented mindset.* Flexibility to work shifts as required.* Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach, capable of engaging with production and maintenance colleagues, as well as management.Salary & ShiftsSalary is up to £45k (DOE) plus shift allowance. The dayshift is 7am - 3:15pm and the backshift is 3pm - 11:15pm which equates to 38.75 hours a week.
