Dovetail and slate are recruiting for an exciting position on behalf of one of our close-knit college. They are looking for a dedicated Trainer/Assessor to guide and mentor learners in Residential Childcare across Wiltshire, Bristol, and beyond. Key responsibilities :
- Deliver engaging training sessions to learners working towards their Residential Childcare qualifications (Level 3 and beyond).
- Assess learners' skills, knowledge, and competencies through a variety of methods, including observations, written assignments, and professional discussions.
- Offer tailored guidance to learners, addressing any barriers to learning and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Travel to various residential childcare homes across Wiltshire, Bristol, and occasionally beyond to deliver on-site training and assessments.
- Ensure compliance with college policies, awarding body requirements, and Ofsted standards.
Key requirements/ skills/ experience & qualifications :
- A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or a related field.
- Relevant Assessor/ Trainer qualifications
- Hands-on experience in Residential Childcare within the last 12 months.
- A commitment to supporting children, young people, and their families while liaising with external agencies.
- Willingness to achieve an assessor qualification within 6 months (if not already held).
