Our clients are specialists in their industry, serving the energy sector. They are looking for a Production Manager who has proven operational experience in an engineering environment.

Production Manager Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the companies complex range of electronic and mechanical products are delivered within agreed requirements
• Plan production schedules, ensuring availability and delivery of parts
• Source and negotiate the best terms possible with reliable suppliers, implementing procurement strategies that champion quality
• Purchasing and managing stock inventory for existing products and developing manufacturing processes for new products
• Manage technicians and subcontractors, determine quality control standards and ensure these are upheld with the team

The ideal Production Manager will:

• Proven operational experience within an engineering environment
• Production planning, production management and resource management experience
• Engineering change management experience
• Have previously purchased complex machined and electronic parts from suppliers
• Proven experience of developing performance improvement initiatives including quality targets
• Have worked to Health and Safety and QMS (ISO9000 standards)
• HND or BEng in Engineering
• IT Literate, skilled in the use of MS Office/ ERP/ MRP systems
• Knowledge of manufacturing documentation (BOMS, engineering drawings and assembly instructions) with the ability to read engineering drawings
