The role of Senior Planning Officer sits within our client’s Strategic Planning team.

The team serves a statutory and regulatory service responsible for delivering housing and employment as set out in the adopted Local Plan.

Your role will be key to developing and reviewing Strategic and Local plans, policies, and programmes; ensuring that the council fulfils its statutory functions.

You will work on a number of long and short term projects to do with neighbourhood planning, infrastructure planning and specialist policy projects around renewable energy and sustainability.

We are looking for a well established Planner with a solid working knowledge of UK planning regs and a well rounded knowledge of planning policy frameworks and guidelines. Ideally you will be professionally accredited with RTPI.

Our client is based in the South West, will offer an initial 3 month contract and they will pay at least £37/hr (umbrella).
