Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client in the Trowbridge area who are actively seeking to engage a Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

As Procurement Manager, in this key role you will be responsible for :

  • Sourcing and managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring material supply meets production demands across the business
  • Supervising a small team of staff
  • Manage direct and indirect items and raw materials to ensure the correct stock levels are maintained
  • Expedite purchase orders and maintain accurate records of purchases, materials and suppliers
  • Involvement with tender process including negotiating pricing and terms
  • Adhoc project work as and when required

What you will need to succeed:

  • A proven track record in a similar role gained within manufacturing or engineering
  • An organised and self-motivated approach, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management principles
  • Commercial acumen and a confident communicator
  • Excellent IT skills including excel and ERP systems
  • CIPs qualification or equivalent
