I’m recruiting for a Software Development Manager with  experience in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform to join my client on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.  They have an  office is in Trowbridge, Wiltshire and they would like someone who is happy  to go into the office one day a week with the rest of the team.Their tech team work in an Agile SCRUM environment and work on all the internal systems used within the business. They are currently going through an exciting time as they  are  undergoing a big transformation project moving over from third party systems to Microsoft  Dynamics 365.This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage their  development team of 5, shaping strategy, providing technical guidance, providing tailored development plans for the team , and ensuring best practices are met. Your team will be at the heart of their transformational projects, working from user stories to build new  bespoke solutions from scratch that will have a real impact to the company.You’ll have the autonomy and freedom to approach problems how you see fit, as well as influence when it comes to strategic business decisions, communicating regularly with stakeholders across the company.Their ideal person will have  hands-on development expertise in D365 and Power Platform, and  thrive in a leadership role. This position is primarily managerial, focusing on strategy and oversight, but requires a strong technical background to provide guidance and support to the team. You will  be the go-to expert, offering technical advice and solutions to the team when needed. A solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, along with proficiency in source and version control, is also required, along with as many of the following as possible  
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform, (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse).
  • Proven background in low-code or traditional development using Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps and good understanding of source and version control.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft data migration technologies is a plus.
  • Experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams while effectively engaging with stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build strong relationships and empathize with others.
  • Hands-on experience working in an Agile development environment.
