Long - Term teachers are working with a fantastic specialist school based in Trowbridge, who support students aged 16 - 25, all of which have Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs. The team here strives to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students can excel academically and develop social skills to prepare them for their future lives.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated teacher to join on a part time basis, you will be working Monday to Thursday 8:45 am - 4pm, term time only. It is essential that you have previous experience of working with students with special educational needs and you are confident to adapt lessons to cater to their individual needs. You will predominantly be teaching maths and science, so it is desirable if you have a specialism in these subjects, or have previously taught. A qualified teacher is preferred but consideration will be given to education professions with other teaching qualifications who have experience teaching maths.
The headteacher is looking for an individual who has a genuine passion for teaching and supporting students with special educational needs. The school fosters skills such as creativity, resilience and team work. Ensuring the students well being and development is being supported is at the heart of everything for the team here.
