Are you looking to work for one of the region’s largest and most progressive firms? My client has an excellent reputation for employee development and a large network of offices in the area. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced accountancy practice specialist to join their business services team.

Your duties in this varied and broad ranging role will include:

  • Completing annual accounts and tax computations for various businesses
  • Submitting self-assessment tax returns
  • Handling capital tax issues like inheritance and capital gains tax
  • Maintaining up-to-date accounting records
  • Completing quarterly VAT and sub-contractor returns, ensuring CIS compliance
  • Adhering to internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Drafting client correspondence and liaising with HMRC
  • Providing administrative and business setup services
  • Supervising and training less experienced team members

And the qualities that they are looking for are as follows:

  • ACA/ ACCA/ AAT qualified or qualified by experience (those in training will also be considered)
  • Experienced in accounts preparation for partnerships/LLPs and limited companies
  • Familiarisation with personal and business tax regulations, plus VAT and PAYE
  • Proficient in Sage, Xero and QBO
  • Calm and efficient under pressure, with the ability to respond to client enquires promptly, accurately and efficiently
  • Confident, professional and team orientated in approach.
