STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - 2 YEARS + EXPERIENCE

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join our clients growing team in Truro, Cornwall on a permanent basis.
Our client are based in Truro and operate throughout Devon and Cornwall working in mostly residential and commercial sectors on a wide range of projects ranging in size from small domestic alterations up to large multi-million pound projects.
The successful candidate will be a capable creative thinker able to resolve design and analysis of elements and frames in concrete, steel timber and masonry, liaising directly with architects and other members of the Design Team to meet project deadlines.
We are looking for candidates that have a suitable engineering degree Meng / BEng in civil or structural engineering with 2 years or more experience.
Job overview:
- Creating detailed technical drawings and building models in 2D and 3D
Produce plans, sections elevations from the models to communicate the structural design
Use Building Information Modelling to integrate the structural design with the architecture and building services to provide a coordinated design
Use of online document systems
Conduct site visits and surveys
About you:
- Ideally HNC / HND in Civil or Structural Engineering
Ability to liaise with clients and contractors
Proficient AutoCAD user with experience in other design packages including Revit
Broad technical knowledge in structural detailing
3D modelling, BIM and architectural visualization skills
RC detailing experience is beneficial
Motivated individual able to work as part of a team
Strong communication, analysis and technical design skills
