Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified Social Work Team Manager to lead their Multi Agency Referral Unit within the Local Authority's Children & Families Service. This vital position plays a crucial role in safeguarding children, ensuring that responses to support requests are timely, effective, and well-coordinated. As Team Manager, you will lead a stable and committed team, benefiting from a supportive management structure, and will be instrumental in promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people in the South West.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and support social workers, trainees, and students, providing expert advice and consultation.
- Work collaboratively with the Early Help Hub to deliver integrated support for families.
- Assess complex information to make informed decisions about risk, harm, and the needs of children and families.
- Forge strong partnerships with parents, children, and professionals, often in challenging circumstances.
- Ensure the team meets strict timescales and high service standards, while maintaining efficiency and quality.
- Contribute to quality assurance, performance management meetings, and service improvement initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- A qualified social worker with at least 3 years of post-qualified experience, ideally with management experience in a front-line children's services team.
- Proven expertise in child protection, risk assessment, and safeguarding legislation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Commitment to a flexible approach, balancing office and home working.

Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or Social Care.
- Social Work England registration.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Children's Social Care, ideally in MASH or Duty & Assessment.
