SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

TRURO, CORNWALL

£52,000 + BONUS + HYBRID + BENEFITS

Due to continued success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their skilled team with the addition of an experienced Electrical Design Engineer, with experience in the Building Services/HVAC arena.

We are looking for an ambitious person, with good experience in delivering projects in the Building services sector, you will typically be working with clients in the following industries; Defence, Healthcare and Education. THE ROLE:

Act as part of a design team to ensure successful timely preparation and delivery on project objectives, including providing technical support
Attend specification meetings.
Taking a senior role on design projects, predominantly of a building services and HVAC nature - lots of work is done with clients in the defence and healthcare sectors.
Designing lighting systems, AC systems and power generator/distribution systems.
Produce budgets for clients based on their specifications.
Liaise with the client and external design teams as necessary for the successful delivery of projects.
Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to electrical design within building services.
Compile specifications, drawings and contract documents.
Identify scope and schedule changes, in accordance with the change control process, maintain planning and cost control on all scopes

THE PERSON:

Hold a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, building services engineering, or equivalent qualification, or can demonstrate sufficient suitable design experience.
Track record of work on a variety of building services designs and delivery of small and large scale projects
Be fully IT literate and with relevant experience of AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech and Dialux.
Hold a full UK driving license
Demonstrate the capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Understanding of setting and managing budgets, and making sound financial decisions
