Finance Manager - Truro / Hybrid - Up to: £45,000 + Generous benefits

This is a full time, permanent opportunity, and this employer offers a hybrid arrangement working between the company’s headquarters in Truro and remotely if required.

This will be a broad ranging and interesting opportunity where the Finance Manager will assume key responsibility for the company’s day-to-day financial controls whilst working closely alongside the business directors and department heads. Supported by a friendly, passionate and highly experienced team, the role represents a great opportunity for an ambitious individual who seeks to broaden their skills and experiences. Key responsibilities to include:

- Acting as the finance number one for the business, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations

- Supervise and mentor a small team of transactional focussed colleagues

- Production of management accounts for presentation with commentary to the directors

- Attend regular senior management meetings and contribute to ongoing financial strategy

- Budget forecasting

- Bank reconciliations

- Authorising supplier payment runs

- Cashflow and income monitoring

- HMRC submissions

- Monthly payroll operations to include employee pensions

- Preparation of annual balance sheet

- VAT preparation and submission

- Liaison with Chartered Accountants and key stakeholders

For this role we’re searching for an experienced Finance Manager, Management Accountant or perhaps an Assistant Accountant looking to step-up, with solid end-to-end accounting experience, ideally (though not essentially), gained within a fast paced services environment. Applicant’s will ideally be qualified AAT as a minimum, but ideally hold a part/full professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), with demonstrable vocational experience. The business promotes a modern working environment making the most of current technology; this role would suit a candidate with strong IT aptitude and excellent skills in the use of MS Excel and digital accounting tools. The successful candidate will be a key point of contact across all departments of the business so excellent communication skills required in addition to the ability to supervise and develop an enthusiastic team.
