Vision Teaching are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our educational institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a love for literature and language among students. The English Teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and support the academic growth of all students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Facilitate engaging classroom discussions that promote student participation and critical analysis of texts.
- Assess student progress through various methods, including assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that respects diverse perspectives and encourages student expression.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to design interdisciplinary projects that integrate English language arts with other subjects.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance data.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in teaching methodologies.
Qualifications
- A degree in English, Education, or a related field is essential.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification is required.
- Previous teaching experience in an educational setting is preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates willing to learn.
- Strong knowledge of English literature, language arts, and effective pedagogical techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Ability to inspire students and foster a love for reading and writing through innovative teaching methods.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and improvement in teaching practices.
