We are looking for friendly, supportive people with experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to join our growing education team at ROC College, located in Truro. This role is offering full time hours on a permanent basis.

ROC College, is a specialist college that provides person-centered, community-based teaching and learning within Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. We work with young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

What we are looking for

Long Term Teacher's are keen to hear from applicants with experience of supporting individuals with a learning disability in accordance with their needs, in a teaching and learning environment. You will be a good communicator, adaptable and confident in assisting with the planning of daily activities and lessons. You should be patient, empathetic, supportive and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and learning. Applicants should have a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent.

What to expect

You will be working as part of the ROC College team to plan and deliver personalised learning to students between the ages of 16 and 25 with Special Education Needs and Disabilities, mainly on a 1-1 basis and on occasion teaching small groups. You will guide Learning Mentors within their roles of lesson delivery, and collaborate with the Curriculum Manager for your area, providing ongoing feedback on students’ progress.
