A rare opportunity has arisen to join a market-leading firm in the Cornwall area providing predominantly rural valuation, expert witness and professional services.

Ideally, you'll be an MRICS and FAAV rural surveyor, seeking the next step in your career where you'll be in control of developing your career with wider support and opportunity to work up to Partner level, if successful.

You'll become part of a highly regarded team known for their expertise across the South-West, benefiting from an established client base and plenty of opportunities to build your reputation and grow the business.

As the principal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation agent in the region, you'll play a pivotal role while receiving strong support from a local team with over 30 years of presence in the area, backed by a national network.

Main tasks:

  • Valuation of rural property for all purposes including loan security, taxation, and expert witness purposes including farms, estates and residential property, and specialist valuations of property within the rural sector.
  • Delivery of Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC) agency work.
  • Responsible for delivering a mix of valuation, landlord and tenant, compensation and other professional work.
  • Identifying opportunities from valuation inspections to cross sell other disciplines from across the firm including planning and development, commercial and energy work. Where such potential is identified to liaise with team members across divisions to deliver client work.
  • Working with the Partners to expand this aspect of the business.
  • Contribution to the growth of the business by identifying and developing viable fee earning opportunities including general professional work.
  • Client relationship management.
  • Participation in the development and implementation of an effective profit centre business plan developed in-line with the Carter Jonas vision.
  • Pro-active participation in the management and development of team members.
  • Work closely with other offices to develop business opportunities, and promote their division and profit centre, both internally and externally.
