We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our client. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is looking to balance work with other commitments while making a significant contribution to our financial operations. The successful candidate will have proven experience in an accounts assistant role and possess excellent organisational skills to support our accounting department.
Day-to-day of the role:- Processing and problem-solving within the Purchase Ledger:
- Receive, process, and verify supplier invoices.
- Ensure familiarity with Xero accounting software.
- Prepare month-end supplier payment reports, ensuring all accounts are checked and accurate against supplier statements.
- Maintain good relationships with vendors and coordinate with the procurement department to manage project material costs.
- Credit Controlling:
- Assist the accounts manager in keeping credit control up to date.
- Follow the credit control procedure and report to relevant debt control/credit insurer.
- Other Ad-hoc Duties:
- Support various tasks within the accounts department as needed.
- Experience in an accounts assistant role.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in accounts payable and receivable function.
- Strong data entry skills.
