Reed Accountancy & Finance is on the lookout for a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our client’s team in Tunbridge Wells on a part-time temporary basis, which will lead into a permanent position. This role is perfect for someone who is organised, has a keen eye for detail, and is looking for a flexible work schedule.
Accounts Assistant Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Handling Purchase Ledger Operations and Resolving Issues
- Accurately receive, process, and validate invoices from suppliers.
- Develop proficiency in using Xero accounting software for financial transactions.
- Compile and review supplier payment reports at month-end, confirming all accounts align with supplier statements.
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers and collaborate with the procurement team to oversee material costs for projects.
Accounts Assistant Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant role or similar.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate experience obtained from a similar Accounts Assistant role, be within commutable distance to our client in Tunbridge Wells, be able to work part-time between 18-20 hours per week in our office and be available to start work immediately.
