Location: Tunbridge Wells
Contract Type: Permanent, On site Monday - Friday 8.30-5pm, with an hour lunch

Our reputable client is looking for a talented Control Panel CAD Engineer to help bring their projects to life. If you have the passion for CAD/Engineering and are looking for a role with training and in house support to start your career and bring your knowldge to life look no further!

What You'll Do:

As a CAD Engineer, you will:.

  • Gain an understanding of points lists, components, electrical standards, and company standards.
  • Use design software to produce 2D wiring diagrams.
  • Attend preliminary meetings to understand the project specifications and scope.
  • Manage RFIs, technical submittals and attend design meetings to understand the project specifications and scope.
  • Be able to fully understand the design requirements of each control system project, seeking information where required, and then implement the control system design.
  • Gain knowledge of leading manufactures equipment/systems.
  • Review and modify designs based on feedback from team members and clients.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Research material properties in large databases to identify the best materials for modelling.
  • Assist in project planning and timelines to ensure timely delivery.
  • Attend on site visits ad hoc as required

  • A qualification/background within Engineering
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in the operation and use of Microsoft based software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc
