Field Labourer/Plumber -  Royal Tunbridge Wells

Permanent - 39 hours per week plus overtime

Our client is looking for a Field Labourer to join their large, team-oriented department which supports customers in their homes and commercial buildings.  This is a field-based role, and you will be provided with a van depending on location.  This role is based in Royal Tunbridge Wells.  

This role will see you supporting customers in their homes and commercial buildings (such as offices, supermarkets, cinema, churches, anything commercial) with their restoration and repair.  You will work a 39-hour week and can work at an overtime rate over 39 hours.  You may be required to work away, and you will need to assure that you have a driveway or somewhere visible to park the van if kept overnight.  Full training will be given for the role which will see you develop great technical skills in the field of restoration and repair.  The company is hugely invested in personal training and career development.   

Role responsibilities will include: 

  • Representing the company in a professional manner in all situations
  • Demonstrating empathy, understanding and listening skills when interacting with customers face to face
  • Carrying out maintenance, removal and repair work in commercial and residential buildings
  • Attending daily toolbox talks to ensure all health and safety concerns are being met, and that the job is progressing as planned
  • Ensure van is equipped, clean and serviced
  • Providing meaningful updates to the customer
  • Request equipment and materials in sufficient time
  • Ensure use of correct documents and ensuring correct billing details and purchase orders are obtained 

To be suitable for this role, you will:

  • Hold a UK manual driving licence
  • Experience in plumbing
  • Come from a labouring, construction or technician background, willing to do physical work which can require heavy lifting
