Role Overview
Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for developing and driving the main works programme, forecasting and planning workforce requirements, to ensure it is resourced effectively
Liaising with the site teams to monitor progress in line with timeframes
Liaising with the client during the construction phase on progress of works on site
Monitor and update project programmes as necessary to reflect changes in project scope, ensuring they are realistic, achievable and aligned with project goals
Report regularly to management on progress and issues to be escalated
Liaise with the commercial team during the construction phase to ensure alignment of planned activities with commercial objectives
Prepare RAMS, and site-specific management plans, ensuring activities comply with HSEQ legislation and our own policies
Prepare the Health and Safety File upon completion of the project
Liaising with the procurement department for plant and material requirements
Liaising with training and development to ensure the skills matrix is maintained
Attend and lead progress meetings both internally and externally
What were looking for:
Experience: Proven background in highways construction
Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, along with excellent planning and organisational abilities.
Leadership: Experience managing teams and confidently leading, influencing, and motivating others to achieve targets
Desirable:
A valid CSCS Card
HNC/HND or NVQ Level 4/5 in Construction Management
