An exciting opportunity has arrived for a popular brand as a Sales Controller at a main car dealership in Tunbridge Wells.

The Sales Controller is responsible for enhancing customer relationships and progressing the sale of the car, F&I, service plans and accessories. Ability to gain customer trust and build loyalty with the customer.

This is a very 'handson’ role working closely with the Sales Manager to ensure the team achieve their targets on new & used car sales, finance and add-on’s, customer renewals, lead management and customer satisfaction targets.

The successful applicant will be expected to help stack deals for the sales consultants and second face customers when required, in addition to selling cars themselves during busy times.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Part exchange valuations
  • Tailoring Finance Packages
  • Ensure forcasted sales are achieved for the branch

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the sales team with the sale of the car, accessories, paint protection, GAP and insurance products
  • Generate GAP and Insurance Policies in line with company standards
  • Process finance documents for payout produce finance quotes and proposals
  • Process and record deposit payments along with final balances
  • Part exchange appraisal and price delivery
  • Ability to close sales
  • Assess the needs and requirements for every customer at point of order
  • Report to sales manager on deal by deal basis all income generated by product type
  • Encourage showroom (or home where required) visits when enquiries are by telephone or online
  • Ensure all customer details are recorded and entered onto the enquiry management system
  • Respond to customer requests for information in line with company standards
  • Responsible for contacting all 'lastchance' finance leads

Key Skills/Attributes Required:

  • High level of attention to detail along with a a passion for customer satisfaction and service, must be a team player with a can-do attitude
  • FCA accreditation required
  • Excellent knowledge of finance and related systems
  • Knowledge of insurance products
  • A good understanding of car valuations and advanced negotiation skills
