Position: Junior Estimator
Location: Tunbridge Wells (must reside within 1 hour of the office)

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Junior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in their project bidding and estimating processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing comprehensive tender packages and managing the bid process.
- Reviewing tender documentation, including preliminaries and contract documents, and conducting site visits as necessary.
- Providing full take-offs and producing Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
- Coordinating sub-contractor tendering and performing quote comparisons.
- Engaging in cost-planning and assessing levels of risk and opportunity on tenders.
- Conducting tender adjudications and profit planning.
What They Are Looking For:
- A background in Quantity Surveying, either currently studying or recently completed would be ideal however they will also consider someone from a construction background.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies and a solid understanding of JCT contracts would really benefit you in this role.
- A knack for quick turnarounds during busy periods and the initiative to work to strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft software, along with good presentation and excellent written English skills.
- Ideally someone local to the Tunbridge Wells area.
