Our client is a fast-growing and dynamic lending business with an ambitious mission to become the leading technology-led lender of its generation. As part of their continued expansion, they are now seeking a Loans Finance Administrator to join their Loans Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a company that's at the forefront of innovation in the financial sector.
The Role:
As a Loans Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in the efficient running of the Loans Finance team. You will be responsible for processing payments, setting up new loan agreements, managing direct debits, and overseeing related banking processes. Given the critical nature of this role, it is essential that you can work accurately and to tight deadlines, with strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up new loan agreements and process them in the loan management system.
* Process and allocate customer payments, identifying and rectifying any anomalies.
* Manage loan payouts and direct debit mandate submissions through BACS.
* Oversee the direct debit collection process and associated tasks.
* Liaise with the Operations team to ensure smooth financial processes, resolve customer queries, and handle problem transactions.
* Reconcile the loans management system with banking facilities, and coordinate with the Finance team.
* Identify and resolve any financial discrepancies or anomalies.
* Reconcile general ledger extracts and investigate any issues as necessary.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required:
Essential:
* Highly numerate, with excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to quickly identify and rectify anomalies within large volumes of financial data.
* Strong communication skills and ability to build working relationships with other teams within and outside the loans business.
* Proactive approach, with a focus on improving business and customer outcomes.
* Good working knowledge of Excel and experience with other Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable, but not essential:
* A working or educational background in a finance-focused discipline.
* Previous experience in the financial services industry.
* Understanding of financial and payment systems (e.g., BACS, General Ledger, account journals).
