We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join our finance team. In this role, you will share responsibility for managing all day-to-day financial procedures, ensuring the smooth operation of both client and office accounts. You will liaise with clients and other departments regarding financial matters, assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes, and support audits and regulatory compliance to ensure adherence to Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and firm policies.
Duties include:
- Shared responsibility for all day to day aspects of the financial procedures.
- Process client and office account payments, receipts, and transfers.
- Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and firm policies.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist in preparing financial reports.
- Liaise with clients and other departments on financial matters.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures.
- Provide support with audits and regulatory compliance.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
- Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
