Job Title: Senior Network Technician
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Reports to: IT Manager

Job Purpose:
Support the school's IT infrastructure by maintaining software, hardware, and related equipment, ensuring optimal administrative and learning outcomes. Assist the IT Manager in managing IT systems across two sites while promoting student and staff welfare in line with safeguarding procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
-Technical Support: Provide first- and second-line support, troubleshoot complex issues, and assist Junior IT Technicians, staff, and students.
- Network Management: Configure and manage firewalls and switches.
- Mobile Device Management: Oversee mobile device management for Windows, MacOS, and iOS.
- Asset Management: Maintain the IT asset register and procure equipment as needed.
- Software Support: Manage software deployment on devices remotely.
- Communication Systems: Support the schools telephony and PA systems.
- Cloud Services: Ensure proper provisioning of cloud services.
- Security: Maintain data security hardware/software, including malware protection.
- Safeguarding: Assist with reports from safeguarding software.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on legislation and educational technology.
- Additional Duties: Provide strategic oversight of the Annexe site and assist with various IT projects.

Flexibility:
Be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends, and support IT during key school events.

Person Specification:
- Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in IT. This will be an essential qualification for the successful candidate!
- Experience: Relevant IT experience, preferably in an educational setting. At least 3 years experience.
