We are seeking a dedicated Learning Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant primary school in the Medway area. This long-term role offers an immediate start and is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young learners in managing their behaviour and achieving their full potential, especially those who require additional support due to challenging behaviour.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work closely with students who require additional support in managing their behaviour, particularly those with challenging behaviour.
  • Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, focusing on social skills, behaviour management, and emotional regulation.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, adapting strategies as needed to meet their individual needs.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices in behaviour management and student support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within a school environment is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies suitable for primary-aged students.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A proactive and empathetic approach to student support.
  • Must possess a DBS certificate or be willing to undergo a DBS check.
