As a Float Legal Secretary, you will provide essential support across Family, Private Client, and Property departments, playing a key role in the smooth operation of the firm. This position an exciting and rewarding way to build a well-rounded legal career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to legal professionals in multiple practice areas, including word processing, filing, photocopying, and managing correspondence.
- Diary and Calendar Management: Coordinate schedules, appointments, and court dates for attorneys, ensuring they are well-prepared for each engagement.
- Client Communication: Handle calls and inquiries, delivering exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.
- Document Management: Organize and maintain legal documents, ensuring accessibility and compliance with document retention policies.
- Travel Arrangements: Arrange travel and accommodation for attorneys attending hearings or meetings.
- Time Recording: Accurately log and process billable hours and expenses for assigned attorneys.
- Case File Management: Support the preparation of legal documents, court forms, and bundles, collaborating closely with attorneys and paralegals.
- Team Support: Provide additional support to the administrative team as needed, fostering a collaborative and positive workplace.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or administrative role within a law firm.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
- Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and document management.
